Nature: Vehicle Accident – Route 24 Entrance to Weis

Location: Indian Mission Rd and John J Williams Hwy Millsboro, DE 19966

On Monday morning, November 3^rd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway near the entrance to Weis Market in the Nanticoke Crossing Shopping Center.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.

Emergency response crews from Indian River including Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Squad 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.

Emergency response crew assignments included patient stabilization where needed, vehicle stabilization where needed as well as fluid and debris recovery, traffic control and incident mitigation efforts.

It appears that a white Cadillac XT4 and a gold Chevrolet Equinox collided on John J. Williams Highway at the Nanticoke Crossing Shopping Center causing damage to both vehicles.  One person was transported to nearby medical facilities for additional observations.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.
