Nature: Electrical Fire / Wires Down & Arcing

Location: 33188 Pearl St Millsboro, DE 19966

On Tuesday evening, October 28^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an electrical fire on Pearl Street in Oak Orchard.  It was reported to be a pole on fire near this location.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility.

Emergency response crew assignments included an evaluation of the incident, notification of the utility pole number to the respective utility service provider and monitored the situation. 

It appears that utility pole caught fire during some periods of inclement weather conditions.  The fire was self-extinguished and the utility service provider was making a response.

All emergency response units were authorized to turn to their respective quarters.
