On Thursday evening, October 23^rd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an automatic fire alarm sounding (commercial structure) on 32060 Long Neck Road at the Beebe Healthcare facility. It was reported to be a general fire alarm trouble signal.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tower 80 from the Long Neck facility and Engine 80 and Brush 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included an exterior facility evaluation, Knox Box activation to gain access to the facility, interior evaluation of the facility to ascertain rational for activation. Request to have an emergency facility responder for the complex as well as recommendation to the system evaluated by the service provider.

The cause for the activation was undetermined by these was a brief power outage in the area.

All emergency response units were authorized to return to their respective stations.
