Nature: Community Awareness Night @ Sussex Central Middle School

Location: Patriots Way, Georgetown

On Thursday evening, October 23rd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company attended the Community Awareness Night hosted at the Sussex Central Middle School.  The primary objective of the night is to let our families know about various organizations that are in our immediate area that they can take collaborate with.

Families and students had the opportunity to interact with representatives from the local emergency first responders including police, fire, JROTC, Sussex Central HS, Future Farmers of American (FFA), Nanticoke Indian Association, Delaware Dept. of Labor, Delaware FoodBank, Texas Roadhouse and much more.

The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company provided an information booth hosting membership recruitment, fire prevention and fire safety publications, FILE of LIFE packets, and golf cart safety publications.
