Nature: Gas Leak

Location: 30720 Waterfront Dr Stonewater Creek, DE 19966

On Tuesday evening, October 21^st, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a gas leak incident inside the residence on Waterfront Drive in the Stonewater Creek development off Indian Mission Road.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 and Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine 80 and Squad 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police and the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.

Emergency response crew assignments included an exterior evaluation before commencing with the interior evaluation of the residential structure, residential occupant evaluation by EMS personnel and detector monitoring throughout the residential structure.

It was identified that the detector monitoring was sufficient to justify corrective action by the respective utility service provider which was notified to respond as well.

All emergency response units were authorized to return to their respective quarters when complete with their respective assignments.
