Nature: Automatic Fire Alarm – Commercial

On October 20^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a commercial fire alarm sounding at the Weis Market at Nanticoke Crossing.  It was reported that an automatic fire alarm incident was reported via the alarm company.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility.  Chief 80-15 was in the area and responded directly to the incident location.

Emergency response crew performed an initial evaluation and immediately identified that an alarm contractor was on location.

The incident was identified as an alarm contractor on location testing the fire alarm system.  After discussion, all emergency response units were authorized to return to their quarters.
