Nature: Medical Emergency – Assist with High Water Access & Extrication

City: Rehoboth Shores

On Wednesday evening, October 1^st, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted to assist with a medical emergency and provide a high-clearance military-style truck specifically for accessing properties during inclement weather and high-water conditions.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Utility 80-14 from the Oak Orchard facility and the Delaware State Fire Police.  This apparatus is equipped with waterproof and submersible gear which is used by personnel who need to operate in or around water as well as floatation devices and a raft. 

Emergency response personnel assisted EMS personnel at the incident location.

All fire company resources were authorized to return to their respective station.
