On Tuesday afternoon, September 16th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an automatic fire alarm sounding in a commercial structure on Indian Mission Road. It was reported to be a fire alarm going off within the structure.

Emergency response units from Indian River include Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crews were notified while responding that the alarm was sounding as a result of culinary mishap with desire to cancel.

All emergency response units were cancelled and authorized to return.
