Nature:  Automatic Fire Alarm – Residential Structure

Location: 24464 Blue Marlin Ct Stonewater Creek, DE 19966

On Sunday evening, September 7th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an automatic fire alarm sounding in a residential structure on Blue Marlin Court in the Stonewater Creek development off Indian Mission Road.  It was reported to be a general fire alarm going off.

Emergency response units from Indian River include Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crews were notified while responding that the alarm was a smoke detector activation.

All emergency response units completed an exterior evaluation and was able to communicate with the occupants of the residential structure.  The alarm system activated by steam from the shower. 

All emergency response units were authorized to return to their respective quarters.
