Nature: Automatic Fire Alarm - Residential

Location: 16019 McArthur Lane Patriots Glen, DE 19966

On Monday morning, September 1st, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an automatic fire alarm sounding on McArthur Lane in the Patriots Glen Shores off John J. Williams Highway.  It was reported as detectors in the house going off.

Emergency response units included Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crews completed an initial exterior and interior evaluation.  After discussion with the residential occupants, it was determined to be a faulty detector on the second floor area of the residential structure.  All apparatus were returned to their respective quarters.
