Nature: Smoke Investigation

The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company responded to a smoke investigation incident on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at Indian Mission Road and Stonewater Creek Boulevard in Delaware.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Incident 80 and Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crews were assigned to evaluate and search the nearby area which yielded negative results.

After a comprehensive evaluation of the immediate vicinity, firefighters determined the smoke was unfounded and cleared the scene.

All emergency response apparatus were authorized to return to their respective quarters.
