Nature: Vehicle Accident

On Wednesday evening, August 20^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company and the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad were alerted for a vehicle accident at or near the Long Neck Dispensaries. It was reported to be a vehicle accident with one person needing EMS evaluation. 

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included patient stabilization and evaluation where needed.  All fire emergency responses apparatus were cancelled or held at their respective station.

It appears that one person was injured as a result of a hit-and-run type vehicle accident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
