Nature: Residential Structure Fire – Assist Lewes (82)

Location: 125 Harbinger Drive, Gosling Creek Purchase, Lewes

On Monday, August 11^th, the Indian River (80), Milton (85) and Rehoboth Beach (86) fire companies were alerted to assist the Lewes (82) Fire Department with a residential structure fire on Harbinger Drive in the Gosling Creek Purchase off Robinsonville Road.  Additional emergency response units included the Sussex County Paramedics.  It was reported that the occupants were not home but interior residential cameras are showing smoke in the house.

Emergency response units from Indian River were Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and the Delaware State Fire Police.  All responding units were cancelled while enroute based upon on location first responders identified the situation was a culinary mishap with bacon in the oven.

A unit from the Lewes Fire Department assisted with ventilation to eradicate the interior smoke conditions.
