Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: John J Williams Hwy and Long Neck Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Friday evening, August 8^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway and Long Neck Road.  It was reported to be a two vehicle accident at the intersection.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Long Neck facility and Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.  Additional emergency alerts included a Millsboro (83) EMS Unit.

Emergency response crew assignment included fluid and debris clean up from the intersection, traffic control, and incident mitigation.

It appears that two vehicles collided at the intersection with an older silver Buick fleeing the scene west on John J. Williams Highway towards Oak Orchard.  It was last seen turning into a development.

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with traffic control.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
