Nature: Automatic Crash Notification – Long Neck Road

Location: 36269 Long Neck Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Saturday morning, July 26th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an automatic crash notification on Long Neck Road in the vicinity of Paradise Cove.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad Inc.  The incident was amended to be a rear end type collision on Long Neck Road.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Rescue 80 and Incident Command 80 from the Long Neck area. 

It appears that a Ford Pick struck the rear of a Nissan Pathfinder pulling an aluminum Alaskan Smoker Craft boat that was on the shoulder of Long Neck Road.  The impact caused the aluminum to spin around on the trailer and strike the rear of the Nissan.  There were no injuries nor any need for emergency fire company apparatus.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
