Nature: Vehicle Accident

Address: John J Williams Hwy and Bay Farm Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Thursday afternoon, July 24^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway in the vicinity of Bay Farm Road.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad. Originally, it was a three-car vehicle accident, property damage before some occupants desired to evaluated by emergency medical services.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, Rescue 80 from the Long Neck facility and the Delaware State Fire Police. 

Emergency response crew assignments included occupant evaluation, vehicle stabilization, fluid and debris recovery, traffic control and overall incident mitigation efforts.

It appears that all vehicles were traveling eastbound on John J. Williams Highway when a grey Chevrolet Equinox struck the rear of a white Honda Accord which then hit the rear of a silver KIA Sorento causing damage to all vehicles. Eastbound traffic patterns were altered for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident with eastbound travel lanes closed for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
