Saturday September, 23 2023Nature: Fire District Inclement Weather Survey @ 8:30 – Long Neck AreaLocation: Oak Orchard – Long NeckOn Saturday, September 23rd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company performed an inclement weather survey of our fire district to identified potential concerns as a result of Tropical Storm Ophelia.The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was prepared for any high water rescue incidents and readied their 5-ton high water vehicle, life jackets, ropes, ladders, etc. Assistant Chief Steven Deery identified the department had hands on deck for the pending storm and ready to response where needed.Illustrated herewith are some photograph assessments of the area.Additional information will be forthcoming as available. |
