Nature: Vehicle Accident w/Medics

Location: Huckleberry Lane and North Rim Rd Pots Nets Bayside, DE 19966

On Tuesday afternoon, March 8^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Huckleberry Lane in the Pot Nets Bayside development.  Additional emergency alerts also included the Sussex County Paramedics, the Delaware State Police Aviation Unit (Trooper #2), and the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included assistance with patient stabilization if needed, traffic control where needed, fluid and debris recovery if needed, vehicle stabilization where needed and incident mitigation.

It appears that a golf cart was traveling on North Rim Road and attempted to turn onto Huckleberry Lane when it overturned.  One person was transported to nearby medical facility via ambulance and one person refused additional medical observations.  The Delaware State Police Aviation Unit was cancelled while enroute.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
