Saturday, March 22, 2014 Indian River Engine #80-2 transformed into Coaling Engine #1601 Coaling Fire Department, Alabama Earlier in 2014 (February), the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company transferred its Engine #80-2 to the Coaling Fire Department in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama in preparation of Indian River's consolidation of engine and tanker fleet. Indian River and Coaling formed an organizational relationship during the sale of our incident command unit in July, 2008. The Coaling Fire Department is extremely gracious and appreciative of the fire suppression apparatus which is proudly serving their community and has been utilized on working residential fires since its arrival. Coaling's first fire chief (Lynn Lybrook) on behalf of their organization presented Chief Engineer Jim Wagner with an acknowledgement plaque and a very heartfelt "thank you" for the friendship and cameraderie that has developed since July, 2008. Coaling Fire Department is pleased to acknowledge that the earlier purchased Chevrolet Suburban remains operational. Illustrated within are photographs of the then at Indian River and now at Coaling.
