Nature: Residential Structure Fire – Assist Rehoboth (86)

Location: 20301 Fleming Circle Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971

On Saturday afternoon, the Indian River (80), Lewes (82), and Milton (85) volunteer fire companies were alerted to assist the Rehoboth Beach (86) Volunteer Fire Company with a residential structure fire.  It was reported to be kitchen fire with black smoke coming from the wall.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 and Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments requested all units to the fire ground to assist with fire suppression operations as directed by the incident command.

Arriving emergency response units identified heavy smoke coming from a residential structure and immediately commenced with fire suppression activities and encountered fire throughout the interior of the structure.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control and scene access for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Fire Marshall is investigating.
