Nature: Brush Fire

Location: Long Neck Elementary School

Address: 26064 School Lane, Millsboro, DE 19966

Early Wednesday morning of April 11, 2012, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a brush / woods fire near the Long Neck Elementary School in the surrounding wooded facility.

Emergency response units included: Brush #80-0 and Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as Brush #80-00 from the Oak Orchard facility.

Emergency response crews utilized booster lines, Indian tanks and large diameter hoses for water supply resources asa well as fire suppression activities.

It appears that the brush / woods fire is of suspicious origin and the Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office has been alerted.

The Delaware State Fire Marshal is conducting an investigation.

Fire Marshal Investigating Brush/Woods Fire in Millsboro

The Delaware State Fire Marshal is investigating a brush/woods fire near Long Neck Elementary School Wednesday morning.

Firemen from Indian River got the call about the blaze on School Lane in Millsboro just after midnight.

Firemen say it appears that the blaze is of suspicious origin.
