Story

Nature: New Radio Tower Progress Update

Location:  Banks Road – Station #2

City: Long Neck, Sussex County, DE

Illustrated herewith is a progress update for the new tower being erected at Indian River's Station #2 facility on Long Neck Road.  As identified earlier, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company has collaborated with a few commercial entities to remove the existing radio town at our Station #2 (Banks Road) location and install a more modern, up-to-date, and commercial radio tower to benefit the emergency services as well as many others in this section of Sussex County.  This new tower will be a part of the AT&T First Net Emergency Responder Enhancement Initiative.

This past week ending September 28th, the tower erection process has begun.
