Monday July, 4 2011 Nature: Engine Crew & UTV Crew Assignment Location: Rehoboth Beach Fireworks Address: Philadelphia Street & Boardwalk – Rehoboth Beach On Monday afternoon July 4th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company assisted the Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company with an Engine Crew Assignment and UTV Crew Assignment for firework standby. Emergency crews were to report to Rehoboth Beach Fire Station #2 between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. for specific assignments. Crews were to relocate to their respective assignments by 6:30 p.m. Indian River was assigned with an Ambulance Crew from Station #85 (Milton Fire Company) to cover these specific locations. While providing assistance to the Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company, Indian River was alerted for three (3) incidents: (1) Automatic Fire Alarm - Long Neck Elementary School @ 15:48 hours; (2) Outside Fire - Banks Road @ 21:35 hours; and (3) Field Fire - Bay Farm Road @ 21:38 hours. These incidents were coordinated by our Duty Officer - Hayden Klingler.
