Saturday, June, 18 2011 Standby Crew Townsend (Station #26) On Saturday, June 18th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company provided an Engine Crew for a pre-arranged stand-by crew to attend Townsend Fire Company Station #26 from 8 a. – 3 p. Engine #80-3 from our Long Neck Station under the direction of Chief Steven C. Deery, Jr. attended. There was one incident for a “fire nature unknown” which was an inappropriate burn during a prohibited time period. The property owners were advised of the proper burning procedures.
