Tuesday May, 11 2010 @ 14:00 Nature: Funeral Services – Charter & Life Member Anamae R. Rogers On Tuesday, May 11 at approximately 2 p.m., the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company participated in the funeral services for Charter and Life Member – Anamae R. Rogers. Anamae was an active part of the Ladies Auxiliary for 55 years and held the offices of Vice President for eight (8) years, Assistant Treasurer for one (1) year, and served on many committees throughout her years of dedicated service. Anamae was an avid player of Bingo and attended every event hosted by the Indian River Volunteer Fire Co., Inc. The funeral services were officiated by Rev. J. Allen Miller of the Community Church of Oak Orchard. Anamae’s funeral procession originated at Watson’s Funeral Home in Millsboro, east on John J. Williams Highway, right on Gull Point Road /River Road, stopped in front the family residence and proceed to Oak Orchard Road, and stopped in front of Indian River’s Main Station where the Sussex County Emergency Operations Center sounded her last alarm. The funeral procession then continued to the place of Interment at the Millsboro Cemetery in Millsboro, Delaware. A reception followed at the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company Main Station Memorial Hall.
