Story
On Thursday, December 13th, the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control Hazardous Materials Unit - DNREC3, the Selbyville Volunteer Fire Company Dive Team, TowBoatUS and Bunting’s Garage were utilized to recover the sunken vehicle as a result of the November 27th vehicle accident. The vehicle was fully submerged in Massey’s Ditch near the northern most part of accessing the Rehoboth Bay. The aforementioned entities had to float the submerged vehicle with airbags in order to float and tow to the Massey’s Landing Public Boat Ramp where the vehicle could be hoisted out of the water. You may access a synopsis of the incident on this web page gallery of 10/27/2009.
