Saturday May, 30 2009 @ 13:27:13 Nature: Traffic/Transportation Acdnt BLS Address: 26090 Shoppes at Long Neck Blvd @ Grotto Pizza (80) Millsboro, DE 19966 On Saturday, May 30th at approximately 1:27 p.m., the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a personal injury vehicle accident at the intersection of Long Neck Road and Long Neck Blvd in the vicinity of the Shoppes of Long Neck and Grotto’s Pizza. It appears that a tan Jeep SUV and a blue Buick sedan were attempting to access Long Neck Road and collided for some unknown reason. An occupant of the Buick needed medical attention and was transported to nearby medical facilities of an additional evaluation and observation. The responding emergency apparatus was limited to the Engine #80-5 from our Long Neck Station and was to coordinate vehicle stabilization, traffic control, and assist with patient packaging and patient care. This intersection remained closed for the duration of the incident. The Delaware State Police are investigating.
