Story
Thursday December, 4 2008 @ 09:52:18 Nature: Wash down (Fuel Spill) Address: Hollyville Rd & Hollymount Rd Harbeson, DE 19951 On Thursday, December 4, 2008 at approximately 9:52 a.m., the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a wash down incident to assist the Delaware State Police and the Delaware Department of Transportation with a traffic mishap. Apparently, a dump truck loaded with mud and other debris was traveling west on Beaver Dam Road and just completed a turn on Hollyville Road. Apparently, the dump truck lost air pressure and the losses of pressure permitted the hydraulic dump tray to loose pressure and dump the content of the truck onto the roadway. These aforementioned segment of roadways were closed for approximately 1 ½ hours during the performance of the clean-up efforts. The Delaware State Police are investigating.
