On Wednesday, October 31, 2007, firefighters from the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company participated in structural firefighting evolutions. Firefighters are required to continue to refresh, enhance and expand their knowledge, skills and abilities. The Indian River firefighters attend this type of training bi-annually and conduct various other types of training in order to learn new and innovative methods of fire suppression.
