On Monday morning, July 9, 2007 at approximately 10:42 a.m., the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted to assist the Millsboro Volunteer Fire Company on a serious motor vehicle collision on State Route #24 (John J. Williams Highway.) Engine 80-5 and Rescue 80 responded to provide assistance. There was patient entrapment which required extensive vehicle extrication. Once extricated from the vehicle, the patient was flown to a nearby medical facility. The Delaware State Police are investigating.
