On Tuesday, April 24, 2007, at approximately 5:09 p.m., the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a reported oven fire. Responders arrived on scene and were able to transport the remaining contents outdoors to be extinguished. The house was ventilated using fan to clear out any remaining smoke inside the residence. This incident was placed under control at 5:17 p.m.
