Story
On Saturday, October 14, 2006, at 1:45 p.m., the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a brush fire on White House Road. Upon arrival of Brush 80-0 it was determined that approximately 1/4 acre of marshland was involved and spreading. Crews from Brush 80-0 and Engine 80-2 commenced an attack on the fire from White House Road. Crews from Brush 80-00 and Engine 80-7 iniated an attack from the Fairfield Development. This incident was quickly brought under control, however it was necessary for the crews to spend a considerable amount of time overhauling the area. This incident was under the direction of Deputy Chief Brian Hubbs.
