Nature: Structure Fire

Location: 37200-37305 Trent Ct Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971

 

On Friday morning, September 29th, the Indian River (80), Lewes (82), and Bethany Beach (70) fire companies were alerted to assist Rehoboth Beach (86) with a working residential structure fire on Trent Court in the Canal Point development off Hebron Road. 

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facilities as Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police. 

Emergency response crews were requested to assist fire suppression efforts which were limited to an initial exterior attack only because of the partial residential collapse.  Additional fire suppression efforts were directed from the rear of the structure into the second floor and attic areas as well ventilation assignments. 

The Delaware State Fire Marshall’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.

Additional assistance was requested from the utility companies which included Delmarva Power and Poore’s Propane Services.  Standby coverage at various stations were requested from other neighboring fire companies which included Millsboro (83), and Milton (85).

Indian River units are currently assisting Rehoboth Beach (86) with a working residential structure fire on Trent Court in the Canal Point development.

Upon arrival of Rehoboth Beach, it was identified that a single residential was fully involved.  It was declared an exterior attack only because of partial structure collapse. 

Other responding companies include Lewes (82), Bethany Beach (70), and the Sussex County Paramedics.
