On Thursday, March 9, 2006, at 12:52 p.m., the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted to assist the Milton Volunteer Fire Company with a woods fire. Brush units and Engine 80-5 responded. Twenty-seven Indian River firefighters were in service for two hours and eight minutes.
