At 4:36 PM on Wednesday, October 5, we were dispatched to Massey's Landing at the end of Long Neck Road for a boater in distress. We were informed that a couple in a small boat were aground on Middle Island. One of the occupants of the vessel has a medical condition and needed medications that had been left at home. 80 Marine 1 was launched and located the vessel. The vessel was secured and both occupants were returned to shore. Twenty-six firefighters were in service for one hour one eighteen minutes for this call.
