On June 29, was about ropes and knots and how to use them properly. Wally Evans taught us the knots that we would be using and made sure that all of us could tie them properly. After a short interruption for a call, we moved to the Engine Room. Wally, Glenn Marshal, and our Chief, Steve Hawkins, put our skills to use. We learned how to secure a victim in a Stokes Basket and how to use the various lifting equipment carried on our trucks.
