Nature: Trailer Fire
Location: 19900 Sea Air Av., Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971

On Monday afternoon, December 21st, the Indian River (80) and Lewes (82) fire companies were alerted to assist Rehoboth Beach (86) fire company with a working structure fire within the Sea Air Mobile Home Park off of Coastal Highway.  It was reported by a neighbor of the structure that heavy smoke was coming for the structure.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility and Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility.

Emergency response crew assignments included assisting with fire suppression, access and evaluation of the crawl space area; as well as incident mitigation and manpower and water resources.

It appears that a residential manufactured home structure was heavily involved with fire upon arrival of Rehoboth Beach’s apparatus and there were concerns regarding the family’s pet which needed additional services via a veterinarian.

The Delaware State Fire Marshal is investigating.
