Engine 80 – 2024 Pierce Saber 7000 Custom Pumper

This Engine 80-3 will be known as Engine 80. 

Engine 80 is 2024 Pierce Saber 7000 Cab & Chassis, Cummins L9 - 450 HP diesel engine, 3000 Series Allison automatic transmission, Waterous CX 1500 GPM Pump, 1000 Gallon Water Tank, Axle: Front Meritor 18,000 LB & Rear Meritor 27,000 LB, Husky 3 Foam System, Firetech Scene Lighting, Whelen Emergency Warning LED Lights, Painted R/U doors, Custom shelves and trays, etc.

Graphics and artwork was coordinated by Rogers Signs in Milton, Delaware with the equipment and tool mounting being completed by BAM’s Hook & Hose Fire Equipment near Denton, Maryland.

This Engine hosts a 6-man cab capacity with fully equipped self-contained breathing apparatus devices installed into the seats. This engine cost approximately $841,000 when it was procured brand new by the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company in the 2024 time period.

The 2024 Pierce Saber pumper will be housed at our Long Neck facility and is primarily used as a first due piece of emergency response apparatus for structural fire incidents.
