Cannon Road between Mount Joy Road and Friendship Road - Roadway Closure

The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces to motorist that a portion of Cannon Road will be closed to allow for the application of High Friction Surface Treatment (HFST) on the roadway curve. 

High friction surface treatments (HFST) are pavement treatments that dramatically and immediately reduce crashes, injuries, and fatalities associated with friction demand issues, such as:

    •   A reduction in pavement friction during wet conditions, and/or

    •   A high friction demand due to vehicle speed and/or roadway geometrics.

WHEN: Thursday, July 29 (7 p.m.) through Friday, July 30 (5 a.m.)

WHERE: Cannon Road between Mount Joy Road and Friendship Road

DETOUR:  SIGNS WILL BE POSTED

Complete roadway closure will occur during the specified time period and detours will be posted.
