Nature: Recognition of National EMS Week
In 1974, the Honorable Gerald R. Ford President of the United States of America authorized Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Week in order to celebrate EMS practitioners and the important work they do in our nation's communities. The designated week is May 17th thru May 23rd,.
EMS Week is intended to bring local communities and medical personnel together to honor these dedicated providers for their daily lifesaving services that are performed our neighborhoods and on today’s front line.
The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company is extremely grateful for the men and women who keep our EMS companies running every day by caring for our community’s greatest needs in times of an emergency. May God Bless you and encourage you to continue the effort!
The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company asks that you join us in thanking these EMS men and women by thanking them for their dedication and service!
Thank you EMS providers!
