Nature: Fire Alarm – Residential – Mayfield Road – Victoria’s Landing

On Friday, October 2^nd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a residential fire alarm sounding on Mayfield Road in the Victoria’s Landing development off John J. Williams Highway. It was reported to be an alarm sounding.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crews coordinated an initial exterior evaluation and commenced with an interior evaluation.  After discussion with the occupant, it was identified as an accidental activation.

All emergency response apparatus were authorized to return to their quarters upon compilation of their assignments.
