Nature: Fireworks Standby Crew

Location: Pot Nets Bayside / Paradise Grill

 

On Sunday, August 31st, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company provided designated standby crews for firework displays at Paradise Grill. These assignments included fully staffed apparatus from Indian River (80) with Engine 80, Squad 80, Chief 80-15, and Traffic Control 80 as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Specific unit was assignment included the crew to facilitate incendiary safety resources and other units were assigned to provide traffic control for departing patrons and guests as well as fire prevention measures.

The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company has a long-standing partnership with the Pot Nets Communities and Paradise Grill in Pot-Nets Bayside, providing standby crews for fireworks events.

This partnership includes:

  • Regular standby duty: designated fire company personnel, along with apparatus like engines, ATVs/UTVs, and command units, are stationed at Paradise Grill during fireworks displays to ensure safety.

  • Additional resources: Depending on the event, also may include the Delaware State Fire Police for traffic control and other assistance.

  • Community relations: Indian River has a strong relationship between the fire company and corporate partners acknowledging these community endeavors.
