Nature: Automatic Fire Alarm Sounding

Location: Renaissance Nursing (80)

On Tuesday evening, July 15^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a commercial fire alarm sounding at the Renaissance Nursing Home Facility on John J. Williams Highway. 

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments completed an exterior and interior evaluation as well as spoken with the facility management personnel.

Aftert evaluation, it was determined to the a faulty system and the facility was advised to seek corrective action.

All emergency response units were authorized to return to their respective quarters.
