Nature: Alarms - Residential (Single) - General/Fire

Early Tuesday morning, June 3rd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an automatic fire alarm sounding on Leland Avenue in the Walden development off Holly Mount Road.  It was reported as smoke detector activation inside the residential structure in the loft area.

Emergency response units included Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crews were notified while responding that there was an activation in the loft area smoke detector. 

All personnel provided an exterior and interior evaluation could not ascertain any operable issue associated with the fire alarm system.  There were not any audible or visible alarms present at the residential structure.

After discussion with the homeowner, all apparatus were cancelled and returned to their respective quarters.
