Nature: MVC – Accident - Phillips Hill Road

Location: Phillips Hill Road / Croswell Road, Millsboro, DE 19966

On Saturday evening, December 28^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to a vehicle accident on Phillips Hill Road west of Millsboro.  Indian River was providing a standby cover-up assignment for the Millsboro (83) Volunteer Fire Company. It was reported to be a person on a scooter was struck with unknown injuries sitting on the side of the road.

Emergency response units included Tanker 80 from the Millsboro Fire Company – Station #1, the Sussex County Paramedics and the Millsboro EMS Units.

Emergency response crew assignments included assist with patient stabilization, traffic control, and overall incident mitigation pending arrival of EMS resources.  One person was transported to nearby medical facilities.

It appears that a person riding a scooter was struck by a GMC Yukon SUV on Phillips Hill Road.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
