Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: Long Neck Rd and Pot Nets Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Thursday evening, December 1^st, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company and the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad were alerted for a vehicle accident on Long Neck Road east of Pot Nets Road.  It was reported to be a three vehicle collision.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, assistance with patient stabilization if needed, fluid and debris recovery, traffic control, and overall incident mitigation.  This segment of Long Neck Road was ordered closed for the duration of the incident.

It appears that a white Ford F-series pick up and a grey Chevrolet Equinox collided on Long Neck Road causing significant damage to both vehicles.  Only two vehicles were located at the scene.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
