Story

Indian River's Ladies Auxiliary President Retires

The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company is saddened to announce the retirement of Linda Cullen as the President of the Ladies Auxiliary in and for Indian River Volunteer Fire Company.

Linda have served the Ladies Auxiliary of the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company with dedication and distinction with accomplishments while serving in many positions including President of the Ladies Auxiliary for approximately 22 terms of office.

Linda possesses a breadth of knowledge regarding the Ladies Auxiliary operations and has more than 38 years of successful experience in all aspects of auxiliary operations. Linda has been active on many State and County Committees representing the Ladies Auxiliary.  Linda also has been inducted into Delaware Volunteer Firefighters Association (DVFA) Ladies Auxiliary Hall of Fame and been awarded a Jefferson Award as well as the recipient of numerous Delaware Volunteer Firefighters Assoc & Ladies Auxiliary Hall of Recognition awards.

Linda’s has played an integral part with Indian River’s Breakfast, Dinner and Catering operations; Easter Candy, Bake & Flower sale operations; as well as Recruitment & Retention Committee service.   Linda’s auxiliary involvement has been widely accepted in the community especially in the Oak Orchard and Long Neck area with their initiatives have been overly successful.

The Indian River VFC is extremely appreciative of Linda’s devotion and countless hours of dedication that have been donated towards these exceptional initiatives within our fire district.
