Nature: Fire Prevention Community Outreach Effort

On Sunday, August 18^th, Indian River’s Fire Prevention Community Outreach Initiative attended the Millsboro Seventh Day Adventist to attend, instruct, distribute, and provide educational material on various fire prevention and safety initiatives as well as recreational fire truck rides.

These efforts permitted the distribution of fire prevention and safety information, disseminated smoke detectors, and scheduled opportunities to perform three home inspections with smoke detector installations.  Over the hours, the outreach initiative contacted 95 people (37 adults and 58 children) and distributed fifteen (15) smoke detectors
