Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: Beaver Dam Rd and Indian Mission Road, Harbeson, DE 19951

On Tuesday, July 17^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Indian Mission Road at the intersection of Beaver Dam Road.  It was reported to be a two vehicle collision with both vehicles possibly off the roadway into the wooden area.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, Rescue 80 and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignment included vehicle stabilization, traffic control, incident mitigation, debris and fluid recovery, and overall incident mitigation.

It appears that a Subaru SUV and a Ford Explorer collided at or near the intersection of Indian Mission Road and Beaver Dam Road.  The Subaru suffered extensive side impact damage and the Ford suffered front end damage.  One occupant was transported to nearby medical facilities for additional observation.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.
