Nature: Vehicle Accident

On Tuesday, July 17th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Long Neck Road at the entrance to White House Beach. It was reported to be a single vehicle accident.
Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, Rescue 80 and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.
Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, assistance if needed with patient stabilization, traffic control, incident mitigation and debris and fluid recovery. Tanker 80 and Engine #80-1 were cancelled while responding to the scene location.
It appears that a Ford Taurus station wagon was traveling on Long Neck Road and failed to successful navigate the entrance to White House Beach.
The Delaware State Fire Police provided traffic control assistance for the duration of the incident.
The Delaware State Police are investigating.
